If you do get a MT model, make sure to go by the dealership and have them reflash the ECU for you. It will idle much, much better and you won't have any random stalling issues like you may with the original flash. fatabbot is online now ... |

Are you talking about re-flashing your ecu, or something else? Are you tuning the car? Just trying to figure out what you are talking about when you say you've "reset your ecu many a times". ... |

Resetting the ECU will not clear the map back to stock, it is flashed to the EEPROM inside of the ECU meaning it's there for good until that chip is flashed again with a different map. .... Fact of the matter is though, Subaru's (as long as they aren't tuned terribly) run rather clean. I had zero cats in my 02 WRX and had no problems passing emissions with the turbo back on there, it's not always guaranteed, mind you, but I don't think you'll have much of a problem. ... |
