What things have gone wrong with the car? Head gasket blew twice in the time of ownership. After the second time it was replaced, the car had a stink in the interior that smelled like radiator fluid. |

What things have gone wrong with the car? Don't know if you kids will get this far, there seems to be a lot of notes on Subaru Outbacks. First, yes, both the 2.2 and 2.5 litre engines have head gasket problems, but it is more pronounced in the 2.5 litre. |

What things have gone wrong with the car? Engine valve gaskets (not head gasket) started to leak 2,000kms ago. Massive transmission fluid leak (to the car's credit, it was probably the people who did my transmission fluid flush.) |

The only issue I have had is the MP3 CD player. It seems to stop randomly after several hours of playing. Possibly due to overuse after several hours with the heater on. |

What things have gone wrong with the car? Nothing so far, but it's a fairly new car with only 5600 miles on it. Leather interior started to fade and dry out, but that could be attributed to the summer sun, and the car being parked outside the house. |
